The Annual Capital Mid-Season Showdown presented by the Stittsville Rams is back for its 14th season.  This very popular annual tournament represents the best chance of the season for Ottawa area 'B' competitive teams (and 3rd tier teams from out of town) to compete against some great competition at the best facility for tournaments anywhere.

Whether you are new to this event, or returning as one of the over 800 participating teams from the first 13-years of this tournament, you are sure to have a blast!

Additionally, the Bell Sensplex is pleased to offer free admission for all spectators for the duration of the Capital Mid-Season Showdown.

Make sure to sign up as early as possible to avoid disappointment, as several teams do end up on the waiting list each season.

With 4 pads (3 NHL, 1 International), a full-service restaurant overlooking the tournament action, and a friendly group of staff and volunteers looking after every detail, this tournament should be your best of the year!

Some tournament features include:

  • Prizing awarded to Champions & Finalists
  • THREE game minimum
  • Awards ceremony following EVERY game for "Player of the Game" selections from both teams
  • Great competition & thoughtful scheduling
  • Best facility anywhere for tournaments
  • Fantastic hotels, shopping and amenities within 3 minutes of tournament headquarters
  • Exclusive access to Ottawa Senators tickets (Subject to NHL Scheduling)
  • New this year - Sensplex Tournaments is pleased to announce our partnership with HockeyTV. HockeyTV is a subscription based service that broadcasts all games played at the Bell and Richcraft Sensplex both live and on-demand.

The Bell Sensplex features plenty to compliment the action on the ice including:

  •  Stanley's Restaurant & Bar
  •  Hobbin's Hockey Shop

Though the Bell Sensplex is the headquarters of this tournament, teams may also play at other local facilities including our state-of-the-art facility, the Richcraft Sensplex.
