Richcraft Sensplex - Week 6 (Aug 7-10)
Two hours of daily on-ice skill development, in a half-day camp format.
For Tier I & II (or Tier I girls) players only.
- A great opportunity to get the edge for upcoming try-outs.
- On-ice development will focus on game situations, flow drills and error detection & correction, while re-enforcing proper techniques for skating, puck control, passing and shooting.
- Drills will push skaters outside their comfort zones into challenging body, skate, and stick positions to replicate game situations. Concepts introduced will include under handling, puck protection, off-balance shooting, and more. Conditioning drills will include several different training tools to maximize the effects of aerobic and anaerobic conditioning. Our goal is to provide high intensity training without sacrificing technique.
Intense daily off-ice training with elite-level instructors from FitQuest (Bell Sensplex) or Titan Performance Center (Richcraft Sensplex), with a focus on building explosive strength, flexibility, conditioning and agility, and teaching players how to train during the season ahead.
Goalies will receive teaching from qualified instructors on the technical aspects of goaltending and be involved in drills run with live shooters
Please note that we will have at least one bilingual instructor at the Richcraft Sensplex to accommodate all of our participants for each camp.
To protect the competitive nature of these camps, all applications are subject to review. Restricted to players who played at the AAA or AA levels of competitive hockey during the 2017-18 season.
