Are you looking to give your U7-U9 player a development boost this Summer? Introducing our Summer Camp Fundamental Series! This new camp offering will ensure your player has every opportunity to continuing development of the most basic skills of the game.
The Summer Camp Fundamentals Series will include three (3) camp variations that will be on constant weekly rotations throughout the Summer! Each camp will begin at the same time throughout every week (12:15 pm-1:15 pm) and will take place at both the Bell Sensplex & Richcraft Sensplex locations!
This is an ice-only camp.

Camp Features
- Featuring three different sub-programs, the Fundamental Series includes one (1) hour of daily ice time, focused on improving one of the three (3) core skills.
- Skating Fundaments: Players will be taught concepts that will continue to serve their skating stride and efficiency for years to come. Starting with stable hockey stances, proper knee bend, leg extension, and progressing to basic edgework, pivots, and transition skating.
- Puck Skill Fundamentals: Players will be taught puck control on their forehand and backhand, how to roll their wrists to have soft hands and cradle the puck, giving and receiving passes, and much more.
- Shooting Fundamentals: Players will learn how to shoot from the ground up, including wrist shots, snap shots, slap shots, and backhands. Among other techniques, players will begin by focusing on generating power from their lower body, transferring their weight, rotating and following through shots for power and accuracy.
- All ice times take place from 12:15 pm to 1:15 pm, Monday through Friday.
- All campers receive an official Ottawa Senators Summer Hockey Camps jersey and socks, to complete their on-ice uniform.
- The Complete Player Development Camp is intended for recreational players, but is open to all skill levels.

Refund and Cancellation Policy
All Sensplex programs and camps are planned based on enrollment numbers well in advance of the program start date. As such, cancellations and refunds are generally not permitted, except in cases of medical necessity.
If a participant is unable to attend a camp or program due to medical reasons and provides notice prior to the start date, they will receive a credit for the full amount paid, less a $35 administration fee. This credit may be applied to any Sensplex camp or program occurring within the next one (1) full calendar year.
A doctor’s note is required to validate medical cancellations and must be submitted within one week of notification. Please note that all credits issued are non-transferable.
