I wanted to take the time to thank you and your team. Jacob really enjoyed himself with the boys, many of which new to him, but he felt so welcomed. The team dynamics, level of play from opposing teams and within the team really helped him reach his peak at the right time, not to mention winning last week’s tournament! I also think the adjustments that had to be made to the program to adapt to COVID restrictions were well done. Max really did enjoy the SSHD program as a whole, and it was the highlight of his spring/summer. It was impressive how quickly the team bonded and came together as a strong and cohesive team. They just seemed to have fun together. It was a very professionally run program despite the obstacles of Covid. We just wanted to extend a big thanks to everyone involved with the SSHD 2007 program. As in the past your program provided a great benefit to Blake in preparing for his AAA tryouts. Your programs have been fundament in his development, not just on the ice but also providing an environment where he feels confident about himself and his game. He was extremely disappointed he could not finish the summer season with the team because of his neck injury but we are very grateful for everyone’s time and commitment. We just wanted to take a minute to thank you for yet another fantastic season with the SSHD program! Connor’s development has been significant over the past few months. Gunner was such a positive influence on and off the bench throughout the season. Connor was fortunate to have been given the opportunity to play for Jared / Team Black, and this was a huge confidence booster for him going into the AA tryouts. The timing was perfect, and although Connor was one of the last AA cuts on D, he was happy with how he skated. It’s worth repeating that a big thank you is in order for all the SSHD administration and coaching/development staff. The way you handled yourselves during this (hopefully) once in a lifetime pandemic situation was an art form. As always, the coaching was top notch and Will learned a lot about being a team player on the ice skill wise but also as a person. We really appreciate the SSHD philosophy. I asked him about what he learned, and he said skills, but it was more self-confidence this year. That is down to all the great folks on the ice and we thank you.
