The U7 (Formerly IP) Fundamental Skills program is designed to teach the foundational skills every young hockey player needs. Offered once per week, it complements minor hockey programs for U7 and Junior Fundamentals players.
Sessions focus on proper skating technique, including forward and backward stride, starts and stops, crossovers, and tight turns, as well as the basics of puck control, passing, and shooting. Players work in small groups at skill stations, allowing for plenty of repetitions, personalized feedback, and instructor guidance in a fun and supportive environment. The weekly breakdown of sessions throughout the program will be as follows:

Our instructors emphasize correct technique, confidence, and enjoyment, helping each player develop strong fundamentals that will benefit them throughout their hockey journey.
PLEASE NOTE we HIGHLY recommend beginner players register for our Intro 2 Hockey Program before enrolling in U7 Fundamentals. Players must meet a minimum skill requirement which includes the basic ability to take a stride, use their edges to turn, and control the puck while moving forward. Participants are subject to removal and placement in our Intro 2 Hockey Program if deemed necessary by an instructor.

Refund and Cancellation Policy
All Sensplex programs and camps are planned based on enrollment numbers well in advance of the program start date. As such, cancellations and refunds are generally not permitted, except in cases of medical necessity.
If a participant is unable to attend a camp or program due to medical reasons and provides notice prior to the start date, they will receive a credit for the full amount paid, less a $35 administration fee. This credit may be applied to any Sensplex camp or program occurring within the next one (1) full calendar year.
A doctor’s note is required to validate medical cancellations and must be submitted within one week of notification. Please note that all credits issued are non-transferable.
