The U7 (Formerly IP) Fundamental Skills program is designed to teach the foundational skills every young hockey player needs. Offered once per week, it complements minor hockey programs for U7 and Junior Fundamentals players.
Sessions focus on proper skating technique, including forward and backward stride, starts and stops, crossovers, and tight turns, as well as the basics of puck control, passing, and shooting. Players work in small groups at skill stations, allowing for plenty of repetitions, personalized feedback, and instructor guidance in a fun and supportive environment. The weekly breakdown of sessions throughout the program will be as follows:

PLEASE NOTE we HIGHLY recommend beginner players register for our Intro 2 Hockey Program before enrolling in U7 Fundamentals. Players must meet a minimum skill requirement which includes the basic ability to take a stride, use their edges to turn, and control the puck while moving forward. Participants are subject to removal and placement in our Intro 2 Hockey Program if deemed necessary by an instructor.

Informations
Our qualified instructors will correct and properly demonstrate each skill in a fun and comfortable learning environment, designed to increase each player’s confidence and enjoyment. Skaters will work in small groups at stations with extended times to increase the number of repetitions, with constant error detection and correction from instructors. Our lesson plans are designed to be fun for all participants and feature great instructor-to-participant ratios in order to ensure personalized feedback and proper support for all players. We believe excellence is achieved through repetition. While each session follows the same proven program structure, new drills and variations are introduced to continuously reinforce key skills and support player development.

Tous les programmes et camps Sensplex sont planifiés en fonction du nombre d'inscriptions bien avant la date de début du programme. Par conséquent, les annulations et les remboursements ne sont généralement pas autorisés, sauf en cas de nécessité médicale.
Si un participant ne peut pas assister à un camp ou à un programme pour des raisons médicales et qu'il en informe Sensplex avant la date de début, il recevra un crédit correspondant au montant total payé, moins des frais administratifs de 35 $. Ce crédit pourra être utilisé pour tout camp ou programme Sensplex se déroulant au cours de la prochaine année civile complète.
Une note du médecin est requise pour valider les annulations pour raisons médicales et doit être soumise dans un délai d'une semaine à compter de la notification. Veuillez noter que tous les crédits accordés sont non transférables.
